2. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:
The campaign fails to meet its funding goal and the terms specify that funds will be returned to backers.
The creator cancels the campaign before funds are disbursed.
Significant misrepresentation or fraudulent activity by the creator is proven and verified by Upcrowders.
3. Refund Process
Backers seeking a refund must submit a formal request through our platform's support system, providing necessary details such as the campaign name, pledge amount, and reason for the refund request.
Our team will review the request and mediate between the creator and backer to resolve the issue.
Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 10-14 business days.
4. Non-Refundable Contributions
In some cases, contributions may not be eligible for a refund, including but not limited to:
- Campaigns that explicitly state contributions are non-refundable.
- Situations where the pledged funds have already been utilized by the creator for the intended purpose.
- Backer-initiated errors such as duplicate pledges.
