Why This Story Matters

For centuries, the African American community in Georgia has endured oppression, segregation, and inequality, yet they have continued to fight, thrive, and shape the cultural and economic fabric of Atlanta. "The Atlanta’s Story" is a tribute to their resilience, exploring themes of injustice, empowerment, and progress.

We are raising funds to create a short movie, 'The Atlanta's Story', about the African American population in Georgia. The movie will be filmed in a black and white style, as we feel it best captures the spirit of the story. We will be using a combination of real-life footage and animation to tell the story of the African American community and how they have been treated throughout history. The movie will focus on the struggles and triumphs of the African American community in Georgia, and will be a testament to the resilience of the population. We will be using local actors and crew to create the movie, and are looking to raise funds to cover the costs of production. The money raised will go towards covering the costs of equipment, actors, crew and other associated expenses.
