<p>Each campaign on our platform is managed independently by the creator, including its refund terms. Backers are encouraged to thoroughly review the campaign's terms, deadlines, and deliverables before making a pledge. The platform itself does not guarantee refunds but facilitates communication between backers and creators to address disputes.</p>


<h3>2. Eligibility for Refunds</h3>

<p>Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:
<li>The campaign fails to meet its funding goal and the terms specify that funds will be returned to backers.
<li>The creator cancels the campaign before funds are disbursed.
<li>Significant misrepresentation or fraudulent activity by the creator is proven and verified by Upcrowders.


<h3>3. Refund Process </h3>
<li>Backers seeking a refund must submit a formal request through our platform's support system, providing necessary details such as the campaign name, pledge amount, and reason for the refund request.
<li>Our team will review the request and mediate between the creator and backer to resolve the issue.
<li>Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 10-14 business days.


<h3>4. Non-Refundable Contributions </h3>

<p>In some cases, contributions may not be eligible for a refund, including but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Campaigns that explicitly state contributions are non-refundable.
<li>Situations where the pledged funds have already been utilized by the creator for the intended purpose.
<li>Backer-initiated errors such as duplicate pledges.

<p>To enhance security and trust, Upcrowders may offer an escrow service for select campaigns. 
<p>Funds contributed by backers are held securely in escrow until the creator meets predefined milestones or deliverables. </p>
<p>This service ensures accountability and transparency while protecting the interests of both parties.</p>
